Okay, so I know we want to keep things light, especially in the kitchen with all of the sunlight that pours in through the side door + back window, but I can't resist posting this photo. It is Ruthie Sommers kitchen and it was featured in the first ever issue of Domino. It inspired me to paint my kitchen door in BTV turquoise. I love the navy, white, + turquoise palette. You never know, this could work if we keep counters + cabinets bright white.

I love you ree but I don't see going dark in the kitchen...(mom and grace won't be able to handle it after all this grey). I have some great ideas from a kitchen magazine I bought. They re did two kitchens that the old one looks exactly like the kitchen now and the incorporated the same glass paneled doors - white cabinets etc. They use a soapstone counter top which I think is brillant - old school material.
Mom has this catalog now. I want everyone to take a look at it when they are home. see what they think.
